Saw the news about bitcoin mining popping up again in China... is it good or bad?
China's Bitcoin Mining: Bouncing Back or Just a Phase?

Feels like the Chinese government might be okay with this. They have a way of keeping things organized, you know? Can't see such a big move happening without approval.
Honestly, who cares? If this helps BTC price go up, that’s all that matters! The Chinese government is catching up, realizing they can't just ban BTC.
This could be a coincidence or something they planned. With the U.S. pushing ahead in crypto, China probably doesn't want to sit back and watch.
Bans never work for long. Eventually, things like this come back. Countries that banned BTC are seeing a resurgence. China can’t let crypto die there too much potential.
Stop overthinking it. Bans change like the weather in China.
Mining in Xinjiang is still illegal, but it's happening anyway. Hashrate's up a good chunk. The government knows, so it feels like they’re softening the stance.
A better headline would be "China's ban is a joke, really." They're back at around 15% of global hash rate, mostly from energy-rich areas. Officially banned, but way more complicated.

No clue if this is good or bad... China’s strict on BTC, but if they allow underground mining, they’re taking a big risk too.

It’s wild thinking they thought if they banned it, it would just go away. Turns out they probably need it way more than they wanna admit.
I have some pals in China who help me get mining gear. So yeah, the war against mining is still out there, but people are getting crafty to stay in business.
Nice to hear from someone with inside info. Beijing probably knows mining is still going. They can’t pretend otherwise, especially since they’re hitting top spots in the mining game.
There was never a real ban. Miners just shifted to Hong Kong. The Communist Party doesn’t get crypto, and it shows.
Honestly, I’ve stopped caring. Every time they announce a ban, the price takes a hit, and it’s just boring now.
Miners will always adapt if it’s profitable. Until Beijing officially changes things, though, this could all be temporary.
If mining's bouncing back, then the government is clearly aware and just turning a blind eye. It’s hard to imagine otherwise.
I don’t care about China’s bans. So many in the community are too fixated on it. Chill out, it won’t change much.
All of a sudden, news outlets are talking about the uptick in mining? Sounds fishy. It’s like a political ploy or something.
Can’t call this good news yet. China hasn’t officially lifted the ban, so it’s still risky for miners.
We’re stuck in this cycle of China banning and unbanning mining. Next time they do it, more FUD and another drop. More buying opportunities for the savvy investors.
