Also noticed bfgminer’s proofs don’t seem to generate more than 8 leading zeros. Can we tweak it to aim for more?

block explorers usually just show either a mining pool or 'unknown' for the relayed by info. how do I set up a command in bitcoind to display that string? I'm on ubuntu 22.04. like, can't I just use 'bitcoin-cli getinfo…

You might want to try car thermostats. They open or close at a set temp, usually around 90°C but you might find one that works for 35°C. Just some DIY plumbing should do it.

Canaan units are less efficient and pricier. For instance, Bitmain S19 Pro is around $1950 for 100T at 2950W while Avalon A1246 is $1728 for 96T at 3420W. Definitely think Bitmain’s the better option.

Considering it’s through Amazon marketplace, there’s some buyer guarantee there. Canaan could be a decent choice too, but even their discounts don’t beat Bitmain's prices.

The built-in AC worked great for me cooling 15 RX6600 cards and 3 Antminer S19J Pro.

Thinking of renting a small office for my s19j pro. The place has AC but not much airflow. Can AC cause issues for miners? Room's about 13x13 feet. Can I fit one miner in there? What if I scale to five?

Go for it! Just keep it running 24/7 for the whole year. Or maybe consider undervolting with an S21 or S19XP, way more efficient. You might hit 50Th with the same power your S9 uses. Good luck!
