Just got word that our new mining box is in the warehouse. It can handle up to 150 S19s or around 500 kW. Gonna snap some pics soon. Our plan is to move 150 kW of miners from the old place and then add another 75 kW with possibly 25 S19 XPs or a combo of 20 S19 XPs and 5 L7s.

Dimensions are 20ft by 8ft by 8ft. We’re cutting a hole in the wall for air to escape.

Nice find! I saw Bitmain's S19K on sale, 120T for 2700W, seems decent compared to the S19XP. Have you thought about hydro units?

That box comes with a water curtain, and we know how to filter the water to keep it clean.

I get nervous when I see a K next to Bitmain products. Last time they did that with the S9, it was a disaster. I'd wait for more reviews before jumping on it. Phil, hope you can fill that box up before the halving. Is this in the same old farm where you had cooling issues?

Yep, the miners are just 20 feet to the right of the new box. Same wall color too.

Phil, not sure if you’ve looked into this, but have you thought about trying an air curtain? They’re great for keeping out bacteria and dust in clean environments. I’m exploring different cooling methods for mining rigs.

Sounds interesting, but I haven't used it before. The box we got has a water curtain and fans. In Clifton, NJ, our water is full of sediment, so we’re using a 5 micron pre-filter and a 1 micron filter.

That air curtain sounds cool but mostly used in pharma. Not sure how effective it’d be with all the air from miners. Isn't that a bit much for just cooling?

Good point. We’re putting aluminum screening in front of the water curtain to help protect it from dust and bugs. So the airflow will go like this: Air -> Screen -> Water Curtain -> Cold Aisle -> Miners -> Exhaust.

I’ve seen people using fabric screens that they swap out regularly. It helps keep things clean. Industrial setups use large filters too.

Yeah, between the water filters and aluminum screens, I think our water media can last a while. Learning as we go here. By the way, my Braiins+ is running great on one S19 Pro, set to 2475 watts, getting 95-98 TH, runs cool.

Here are some shots of the current ASIC room behind the cutout. Water curtain on the right, power cabinet next to it.

This is one of our eight PDUs and the breaker box. Might lift it higher than the concrete wall instead of cutting through it. The media for the water curtain is tucked under the white intake slats.

I even saw some using fabrics, what they do is have a screen fabric in place a few days then switch with a second clean one they have ready while they clean the first. Its done weekly or something like that. There are also "proper" (large) filters they use for like industrial HVAC systems in data centers etc.

yeah between the water filters and the aluminum screens the water media sponge should last a year or more. this will be learning process for us. hey your braiins+ is doing great on one test s19 pro set to 2475 watts and it does about 95-98th runs cool. I will be burning more cards and setting up a few more as I have 4 s19 pro 110th machines

one of 8 pdu's breaker box 4 shelves 8 plus in all we may lift it higher than the concrete wall to avoid cutting it. (the wall) the media for the water curtain is under the white intake slats. there is an aluminum screen to prevent bug damage to the media.
