Just came across this cool piece about using a Bitcoin miner as a space heater. It's kinda eye-opening, did you know folks in Iceland pay both an electricity bill and a distribution fee? The main takeaway? Don't expect to get rich from this. Might even end up losing cash. But honestly, being a heatpunk isn’t just about profit; sometimes just supporting the grid is good enough. Now if only I could move to a colder place.

But how loud is it? Their site says around 32 to 45 dB. Are we talking about those levels while mining? Because honestly, 45 dB is kinda loud for my sleep.

Iceland's weather is definitely better for Bitcoin mining. Other hotter places just end up spending tons on cooling systems. Higher temps can seriously shorten the lifespan of mining rigs. If you can move to somewhere colder, definitely do it, but Iceland's conditions are already pretty solid.
