Upgrading a miner board to S19XP

Thinking of upgrading my miner with a cool mod I found online.

Running braiins+ with plans to tune it to 30th at about 875w. Using Noctua fans, 120mm, 3600 rpm. Will share pics when I get started.

This miner's running at the site on 240 volts, pulling about 3200 watts at max speed. It's super loud with stock fans. Mod will allow it to run from 120 to 240 volts, keeping it under 12.5 volts.

I switched to an S19 XP instead of the S19 110 pro. Garage temps are messing with my power use. Meter shows 750 watts, definitely a drop when I open the door.

Nice! I got a BitChimney setup too. Using a single S19K Pro with all the extras, getting good numbers. Running on US residential power, which isn't perfect but close.

I know someone who upgraded fans and used a duct fan instead. They controlled it with njord and a modded S9 PSU.

Talking with Altair Tech, might build 10-12 units including S19 XP and others. Got plenty of APW3++ PSU's lying around. My buddy can print cases for the setup.

What's the deal with the efficiency of old vs. new Bitmain PSUs? Would a high-efficiency PC PSU be better? Gotta think long term here.

The APW3++ is around 90% efficient. I’m almost done with the build, ended up using an epic controller which is quiet and can go low.

Curious about your Noctua fan choice. Are they quiet enough for a living room? I noticed similar issues with BRAIINS on lower clocks.

Braiins goes down to 32th, but epic has more range. Swapped fans, ordered some Delta ones to be even quieter. Gotta save money, so skipped wifi.

Two setups here, one with braiins, one with epic. The cases I got have a couple of design flaws. Made adjustments to accommodate bigger fans.

Will you consider a lower watt option like Apollo 2 with an RJ45 port? Hope the project goes well!

Lowest I can go is 20th on the epic setup which pulls about 525 watts. Temperatures play a big role, it's better when it's cooler.

Any idea when these will be available for purchase?

Red setup has an epic controller, doing 20th to 30th. Green one is ready with better numbers. Left out wifi and the complex PSU mod.

Just boosted the red setup to 30th, looks solid. The psu can handle different voltages, but might limit top-end performance.

Just figured out how to reach lower power settings, now pulling 392 watts for 17.56 th. Nice efficiency compared to older miners.

For a miner in that wattage range, this seems like the best option I’ve seen. I love the Apollo and hoping for improvements.

Looking into a hydro model for S19 or maybe S21 would be interesting but pricey.
