  • I like the idea of KYP, but it’s unrealistic. Companies won’t cooperate just because we ask.

  • Honestly, that’s why I think KYP is a long shot. Providers won’t just hand over that info. They’ll ignore us.

  • It could help reduce scams a bit, but how effective will it be really? Scammers can be legit one moment and then switch to scams. Implementation is a huge issue too.

  • They’re trying to play catch-up. Some judges even write for the World Intellectual Property Organization now. But doesn’t the CCP have everyone under their thumb? I wouldn’t be shocked if they have eyes on Bitmain too.

  • I travel a lot and use VPNs all the time. I've been blocked on several platforms. I think some IPs used by VPNs get blacklisted, which is why I sometimes can't connect.

  • I get it, but lying about all this is one thing, but saying he’s Satoshi is another. It’s just wrong, given the lack of evidence. If he tries to monetize it, it’s pointless anyway, since the code’s MIT licensed.

  • No one should be copyrighting that white paper. It’s messed up that CSW is even trying, and even worse if someone else backs him. It just gives off bad vibes for decentralization. Honestly, he’s digging his own grave…

  • FATF means all member countries are likely already on board with new rules. It’s frustrating, but it’s happening.

  • Lol, good luck enforcing it. Sure, they'll crack down on centralized platforms, but there are always ways to stay anonymous with Bitcoin. It’s the average Joe who'll get hurt, not the pros.

  • To clarify, Canadian banks can freeze accounts but can’t just take your money unless you owe them. The government can seize if they see illegal sources, though. HSBC in the UK has banned crypto deposits, so Canada might…
