Looks like Bitmain is in the news again. Yang Zuoxing, a former top engineer who helped design the S7 and S9 models, left Bitmain and started his own company, MicroBT, and now they’ve launched Whatsminer.
Intellectual property claims in China? Never heard of that before. If Bitmain can take down competitors like this, it makes you wonder who’s pulling the strings. Are they really that connected with the government?
First, there was a power struggle, and now Jihan Wu is going after his ex-employee for IP theft? Seems like they’re just eliminating competition one by one. But remember, the last patent case was tossed out. So why this arrest?
No surprise here. When a former employee starts a competing business, trouble usually follows. Competition is fierce, and Bitmain clearly doesn’t want to lose its edge.
Definitely a competition issue. Bitmain must be feeling threatened with Yang's new tech. Now he’s facing IP theft charges while Bitmain flexes its financial muscle in court.
Gonna look into this more. I heard he wasn’t arrested but questioned about the charges. A lot of former Bitmain employees have started competing firms, and I think they all had some non-compete contracts.
Bitmain seems desperate to maintain its monopoly on mining hardware. Jihan’s back in charge, and he’s not gonna let anyone threaten his position, especially not a former employee.
They’re trying to play catch-up. Some judges even write for the World Intellectual Property Organization now. But doesn’t the CCP have everyone under their thumb? I wouldn’t be shocked if they have eyes on Bitmain too.
Funny how they manufacture fake products and then cry IP theft. If the government is funding them globally through shell companies, you can bet they have a grip on Bitmain.
This feels like a shakedown. Yang left to start his own thing, and now they’re trying to take him down. They want to remind him who’s boss, and it’s a dirty game.
It’s all speculation until we get more details. IP theft in China is a wild concept considering the rampant copying culture. Is Jihan trying to take all the glory for himself with the current blockchain push?
Just when we thought Bitmain was prepping for an IPO, they keep popping up in the news. Seems like there’s always something happening with them these days.
Not surprising to see lawsuits after employees leave. Yang’s exit must’ve hit Bitmain hard, and they’re not about to let him take over the market without a fight. Either they want him to back down or they’re looking for a way to settle.
