Solo mining seems risky without solid gear. You might end up with nothing. Maybe look into buying fractional Bitcoin instead and spread investments into traditional markets too.
You can send any amount but honestly, dust transactions aren’t really worth it. Your fees would be higher than the amount you're sending.
