I've been hearing this argument from traditional finance for ages: "Blockchain is good, Bitcoin is just trash." What's the best way to counter that?
Is Bitcoin Worthless or Essential? Let's Discuss

I totally disagree. Bitcoin gives us a way to keep wealth outside the control of central banks. It's like a lifeline against inflation.

Yeah but what about tokenization? If you lose your private key, you're done. Bitcoin's a real bearer asset. Most other assets depend on legal systems.
Bitcoin addresses a fundamental problem that many don’t even see... It's a currency first and foremost. We can't forget that.

To big finance, blockchain just means fewer regulations and making more money. They don’t care about the tech. It’s all about profit.
Exactly, they're missing the point. Bitcoin is a threat to their entire game. Blockchain is just a tool, Bitcoin challenges the status quo.

Bitcoin is the first successful blockchain currency. It has the strongest network and the best security. Without Bitcoin, blockchain wouldn’t even be a thing.
Not sure what Bitcoin's real problem-solving capability is. Sure, it lets you have money outside central control, but how many people really use it for that?
If Bitcoin isn’t useful, why is it trading so high? The demand speaks for itself. People know its value.
But are people really using it as a currency or just for speculation? That’s why ETFs are a big deal, but they don't show real adoption.

I've heard that argument too many times. If blockchain is so great, why haven’t we seen it widely adopted yet? BTC is still the best use case.
Bitcoin paved the way for blockchain. Without it, people wouldn’t even care about the tech. And regulation doesn’t guarantee safety.
Why argue with people who won't change their minds? I use Bitcoin daily. I don’t care about the future, I see its value now.

The usage rate doesn’t define Bitcoin’s value. It’s a currency at its core, whether or not people utilize it for that purpose.
Speculation drives demand, and that’s okay. Just like gold, people see Bitcoin as a safe haven against inflation.
A lot of demand comes from speculators, but that’s normal. Bitcoin is the best form of money for transferring value.
True. Speculation is part of the game. Just like gold, people are holding it to protect their wealth.
All investments carry risk, including currencies. Holding any asset for long makes it an investment, not a utility.

Yeah, but Bitcoin offers unique benefits like privacy and permissionless transactions that aren't available with traditional forms of money.
People confuse Bitcoin with regular tokens. It’s decentralized, no single entity controls it. That’s what makes it special.
