I’m trying to figure out if I can sell hashrate without getting hit with sales tax... like, is there a loophole or something?

Most states in the U.S. don't tax services, so you might be safe. Just position it as a service, not a product. Think of it like VPS hosting. I’ve never paid sales tax on that.

That’s interesting. But what about Texas? I heard they tax cloud services.

Yeah, Texas is tricky. But even so, the rules say that electronic payment processing isn't taxable. If you're not charging tax on crypto mining, you might be in the clear... just get your accountant on board.

Texas taxes everything, lol. Just remember, if you sell to other states, you might need to collect sales tax there too.

There are tools that can help you manage sales tax based on location. They can integrate with your billing system and handle everything for you.

For real! It’s worth getting one of those platforms. You can set up your software to handle everything from mining pools to payments. Just keep in mind some states do tax SaaS services.
