you can check out those low-power Goldshell BOX ASICs.

for sure, here’s a couple of options that fit under your budget: get up to three GekkoScience Compac F miners plus a USB hub kit. check out Kano's cgminer, it’s open-source and works well with these. Another pick is the Apollo BTC from FutureBit."

my take? you can start with a single GPU miner. you won't strike gold but hey it's a start, could run at home. expect like $1-$3 daily profit before electricity costs. Helium mining is worth looking into too, with $1k you could get a solid setup. Buy a LoRaWAN helium router, maybe a bobcat, and a decent antenna.

good point but the issue with HNT is your location matters a lot. I’ve got a setup and it's pathetic... like $6 from 4 hotspots. some even chew through so much data I had to cut them off. I’m not giving up that much data for $30 a month... feels like a scam tbh.

Right? HNT used to be promising. I remember people bragging about $1400 monthly back then. Now it’s just complaints everywhere, with many lucky to see $50 a month.

I got a 40' Rohn tower cheap from my neighbor, so I’m set. my antenna is pretty high up now. it helps a lot with my setup.

the Compac F's are a solid choice, around $300 if you can hunt them down. just don’t forget the fan and a good USB hub to make it work well.

if you want to look at this as a lottery ticket, go for it. odds of finding a bitcoin block are like 1 in 243k. but let's be real, buying one mainly benefits Gekko.

not all about profit though. running these at home helps decentralize the network and gives you hands-on experience with mining ASICs. plus, you get a daily lottery shot.

I’ve pulled over 6.42 BTC from my Compac F’s. they really work for me. I see them as a learning tool. and yeah, helps with decentralization. by the way, you can't mine BTC effectively with a GPU, no matter how powerful. good luck finding one under $1800.

I've got a few customers mining with the S9 series, costs around $300.

if you have free or cheap power, used mini rigs for $1k are worth it. but with high energy costs, solo mining might be your best bet.
