So Intel just announced they're done with their Bitcoin mining chips. Crazy, right?

Sounds like they just couldn't keep up with the competition. Why bow out when the market's growing?
Maybe they wanna focus on gaming chips instead. They've been losing ground to AMD big time.

Anyone have specs on those Blockscale 1000s? I feel like Intel has been lagging behind.
Seems like those chips aimed for sustainability but didn’t pan out. Bitcoin’s price drop probably didn’t help.
Right? ASICs are pricey and Intel's been trying to get their costs down for ages.

They’re cutting costs, sure... but against AMD and Nvidia, it’s a tough battle.

Intel's pivoting to making chips for other companies now. They might be figuring it's less hassle.

I wonder if they’re doing layoffs like other firms. They’re not in dire straits, but still.
The popularity of mining seems mixed. Big farms are still buying, though.
Looks like they’re pulling the plug because they can’t profit anymore. Competitors must be crushing them.
Blaming Bitcoin’s price is too easy. Bitmain and others are still raking it in despite BTC dips.

True, TSMC and Samsung are still making tons for miners. Intel just couldn't cut it.
Intel's track record isn’t great. Remember when they tried mobile chips? That flopped too.
They really need more competition in the ASIC space. It’d drive prices down.
Yeah, but not everyone’s hyped about mining chips. Intel's gotta diversify.

No worries in the ASIC market, Block's new chips are coming out. They might learn from Intel’s mistakes.
Block's gonna make a splash, but are they really ready? No history in chips.
Intel’s shifting focus, probably due to their IDM 2.0 program. Smart move?

I don’t see why they wouldn’t keep going. They need to stay in the game, right?
