Maintaining mining equipment is super important to avoid unnecessary breakdowns. I've seen a lot of folks cut corners and end up regretting it later. Before we get into tips, it’s good to know what typically causes damage to our rigs.

If you’re using Bitmain products, they actually have solid guides on maintaining your gear. Everything you need is pretty much covered there.

Dust everywhere at my place...been cleaning my rigs regularly. I guess it’s a small price to pay for mining.

Totally agree, keeping electronics clean is key. Don’t forget to monitor the temperature too. Overheating is a killer and miners often run hot.

Yeah, cooling is key. It might feel like losing money if you let it cool down, but it’s worth it in the long run.

If that extra heat means you’re saving on a replacement miner, maybe it’s something to consider. Otherwise, it's just not worth risking your gear.

Bitmain units actually come with built-in temp limits. If it overheats, one hashboard shuts down while the others keep running. Always check the temps and keep the airflow good.

While all these tips make sense, the quality of the miner is what really matters. I’ve seen old S9s from China still running fine despite the dirt and wear. They just keep going.

I get that, but it’s not just about fixing things when they go wrong. Investing in good quality equipment from the start saves you a ton of maintenance hassle later.
