hey everyone!
Been thinking about diving into Bitcoin mining for a while now, trying to figure out the best way to do it cost-effectively.
I live in Spain where electricity prices are sky high and tax rules are a mess, so I've ruled out mining here.
After looking into it, I found Georgia to be amazing for mining due to low energy costs and decent tax breaks.
Bitcoin Mining Opportunities in Georgia

hi there! I'm actually a mining equipment supplier from China with some mining experience under my belt.
The energy price you mentioned sounds solid for mining, definitely a competitive rate globally.
A lot of us moved our operations overseas last year due to China's restrictions.
Key points for international mining:
1 Know the local laws.
2 Ensure stable power supply.
3 Political stability is a must.
4 Make local connections.
Thanks for the tips!
Quick question, is it better to buy ASICs from Alibaba or the official site?
I've seen some deals on Alibaba, but I’m worried about scams. The official site prices look reasonable too. Thoughts?
Buying from the official site is the safest route for sure.
Many sellers on Alibaba can be sketchy or might not offer quality gear, especially without buyer protection.
Trust me, I’ve had my share of bad experiences there.
Georgia is a goldmine for mining.
A bunch of my friends have set up small operations there.

Hey, just to add, electricity is just one part of the total costs in mining, right? What’s the all-in rate, like is it really USD 0.08?
Why not check out the other Georgia? You know, the state in the US?
Power prices can go even lower if you use 1MW or more.
There are some good examples of farms from that area.
I used 0.06$/kWh for my calculations.
Honestly, I think a 700-800 days payback on ASIC isn’t ideal.
Profit tends to decline, and electricity prices don’t really give an edge. GPUs seem more appealing when you factor in warranties.
Hey all!
Seems like Georgia isn't just about mining anymore... tons of digital nomads rolling in, especially Russians after 2022.
They’re even using blockchain for land records, making transactions way faster.
Pros include:
Great business environment, solid tax perks.
Absolutely agree!
ASIC vs GPU mining risks seem similar, but GPUs have historically better returns.
Curious about profitability after ETH 2.0; I fear it might drop like in the 2019 bear market.
Hey!
I’m from the UK and was thinking about moving to Spain for mining.
Ever thought about solar panels to power your rigs? Planning a trip to Georgia soon to check out some setups.
I’d steer clear of immersion unless your operation is big or you're experienced.
Machines don’t perform well when overclocked in hot conditions.
It’s a bear market, so underclocking might be the way to go.

I agree with that.
No need for immersion tech. Just focus on cooling air intake and exhaust, and you should be fine.

Been mining in Georgia for about a year now and it’s been solid.
Good electricity rates and rules favor miners.
Stay cautious about where you buy your miners, though; reputable dealers are key.

One thing to consider: while energy is cheaper in Georgia compared to Spain, you gotta think about security for your miners and travel costs.
If your gear gets stolen, police support might not be great. Just a heads up!
