Yeah, those Avalons are super sensitive compared to S9s. Did tests with rising temps and PSUs, they barely affect efficiency.
True but the overclocking benefits are awesome. If this liquid cooling becomes standard, it could be huge for miners in hotter climates. Also, wonder if we even need pumps? Just let the hot water rise and flow into some…
Checked it out on the Bitmain site. Says it's about $1,100 but only in China for now. Not sure if that includes the cooling setup. Heard you can use plain water or mineral oil too.
So Bitmain just dropped the Antminer S9 Hydro. Water cooling? Seems like a big deal for mining, especially with heat issues. Plus it runs at 18TH/s and uses SHA256. Anyone else excited about this?

So you actually made it consume more power? Those usually do 80W with LPM, right? 82W/th seems off.
My conspiracy theory: they're using S17 chips, just a ton of them. If that's true, I can't wait to push them to the max.
I keep hearing about the risks involved here. Sounds like there’s a lot to keep an eye on.
But still, you can’t overlook the cost of infrastructure. Easily talking about 150-200k for a MW.
Yeah, I don't get how referring someone could be seen as illegal. Referrals are everywhere in business.
