Not a lot of details out yet, but speed is definitely better than S17 Pro and S17+. Power usage is similar, but 29.5 J/TH is wild! 3.25 kW for 110TH/s? That's gonna put S9s to shame.

So basically a 3300 watt miner with only one speed? That's gonna be tough to sell, especially with coin prices below 9000 and the halving coming up.

Did they actually confirm just one speed? I mean, the Pro has had multiple options before. Also, price will be key... I'm thinking around $3000 would be nice.

3000 is too steep unless they ship fast. Only one speed is such a letdown. Right now making like 15 bucks a day and burns 80 kW. After the halving, it’ll drop to half.

They tweeted it goes as low as 23w/th, so I bet there are some modes like low power.

3000 might seem high, but think about it... last year 100 TH/s was $3000. Prices are tricky though, and difficulty keeps changing. S9s will probably be shut down a lot.

Yeah but 3k watts is a lot... can't even run that setup in my current warehouse without rewiring everything. Had it good with S9s at 2300 just two years back.

I’m good with adding more miners, but 3k watts? Yikes. I need to swap out my 28 S9s for these.

Home mining feels done for now. Guess we saw this coming, but it’s sad. Just no low power options available anymore.

They should allow buyers to choose the number of hash boards. Like why not let someone buy with fewer boards for lower power?

Controllers are around 60 to 100 bucks. PSUs are about 150. The case is the tricky part though. This idea has some merit.

If only we could bulk buy cases. Maybe old S9 cases would work for half the boards? Use the old parts for some projects.

I could use my 28 S9s to build a cheap case for a tweaked S17 or S19. If done right, they could sell well.

If S9 cases fit, how much would it cost for hash boards and controllers without cases? That could save some cash.

Efficiency on the Pro looks solid, but the non-Pro is nearly the same as S17 Pro. I might hold off until they share more specs.

Yeah, I’m only getting one or two until I see how it rolls out. I used to mine for free with my old gear, so I know the game.

My conspiracy theory: they're using S17 chips, just a ton of them. If that's true, I can't wait to push them to the max.

Funny how BTC was over 10k for days, then my coupons expired before this drop. Seems like a pattern with Bitmain.

Totally see where you’re coming from! If I were them, I’d pull the same stunt.

Nah, they’ll struggle if BTC is at 8500. Dropping the price to kill coupons seems off. They should pump BCH or BSV instead.
