I hear you. I’ve ordered better quality fans too. The ones I had were decent but I can’t wait to see how the new ones do.

Keep me posted when those fans drop. I’ve got an S9 just waiting to be upgraded. Might even be able to run it at home without a problem.

Here’s a little update the new boards consume 616 watts and yield around 11 TH. That’s about 56-57 watts per TH, still need to run more tests though.

Updated! I received an upgrade kit today with three drop-in hash boards. If you’ve got spare S9s, might wanna hold off till my tests are done this week.

Even if it worked, it’s not practical. The weight and short mining time are just not worth it.

Yeah, using an app too, mine's on Android though. Placing it near the exit fans works well, they're super quiet. My office is also the bedroom, and we sleep fine.

Checked sound levels on my miners with extra fans running, read 30 dB. With those fans off, it dropped to 22 dB. What do you have going on?

My GPUs are definitely louder than my R606!

What happened for you to hit 81 dB? Mine are super quiet, I barely notice them.

Got my RMA sorted, new unit is running fine now. Messing with voltage and frequency. Will share more as I tweak the settings.

I did the same, using zpool right now to test it out. Just cleaning up some coins, probably gonna hit up a dozen pools before I end up on kano.is or go solo at ckpool.

Ordered mine from this user on August 17, but it was back-ordered. Got an update on the 23rd saying it would ship on the 27th... ended up receiving it on August 31. So, not too shabby for a 14-day wait considering it…

Funny how BTC was over 10k for days, then my coupons expired before this drop. Seems like a pattern with Bitmain.

If S9 cases fit, how much would it cost for hash boards and controllers without cases? That could save some cash.
