So Bitmain just dropped the Antminer S9 Hydro. Water cooling? Seems like a big deal for mining, especially with heat issues. Plus it runs at 18TH/s and uses SHA256. Anyone else excited about this?

How much is it gonna cost? Will we need to buy all the cooling stuff separately?
Checked it out on the Bitmain site. Says it's about $1,100 but only in China for now. Not sure if that includes the cooling setup. Heard you can use plain water or mineral oil too.

Honestly, liquid cooling should have been a thing ages ago, right? I mean my gaming PCs with liquid cooling run super cool. Much better than my fan-cooled rigs. Another company is doing something similar I think. Can't recall the name.
Canaan or Avalon is doing liquid-cooled miners now, right? I think they have a kit for the Avalon 841. No clue what comes with it though.
Remember when liquid cooling was used a lot in earlier miners? They figured out it was pricey and kinda unreliable. So we ended up with air-cooled models instead. But hey, when you need power, I guess it makes sense.
True but the overclocking benefits are awesome. If this liquid cooling becomes standard, it could be huge for miners in hotter climates. Also, wonder if we even need pumps? Just let the hot water rise and flow into some radiators?
