Saw someone mention trading on Telegram mini apps. They thought using a small phone was an issue. They were looking for a bot since using the main app and checking signals on Telegram was messing things up. Some users warned that Telegram bots can expose info, which is kinda sketchy. But today, I got an offer from Bitget about their mini app for futures trading. Seems like a solution for that guy.

Interesting point, but why would an exchange promote something risky? That’s just weird. I personally stick to the main platforms. They feel safer. Anyone here actually tried trading on those mini apps?

Honestly, not surprised by this. Some folks think these Telegram apps are insecure, but they don’t realize they have solid security built in. Like Bitget’s app, it’s only a risk if Bitget itself is compromised. Telegram is just the platform; they don’t have access to the app’s inner workings.

I’m skeptical about mini apps. Sure, they might be good, but Telegram has a ton of scammers. If you lose access, good luck getting your funds back. That’s a major risk.

Thanks for the clarity. I thought these mini apps were a bad idea too. If user accounts can’t be hacked through Telegram, maybe it’s not so bad. Still, how do trades execute without withdrawals? I gotta investigate more before connecting it to my account.

Totally see the exchanges' angle. They’re benefiting from these mini apps for sure. A lot of users are drawn in by airdrops through Telegram. Not everyone wants the hassle of complex platforms, so it makes sense for exchanges to team up with Telegram.

They wouldn’t promote it if it was unsafe. Plus, exchanges are regulated, so they have to keep user assets secure. I bet they’re developing these apps in-house, so they’re probably safer than random third-party tools. Still, API key exposure is a concern.

Anyone actually traded on these mini apps? I’m curious how it feels compared to desktop or mobile trading. I’ve got a solid phone for trading, but I’m not sure a mini app is a good fit for me.

Do exchanges genuinely care about customer security? I doubt it. They seem more focused on profits. That said, Telegram is filled with scammers, and new users could easily get hacked.

When you deposit, you’re already trusting exchanges with your funds. But using Telegram bots? Yikes, that’s sketchy. Who knows where your private keys end up? Bots aren’t regulated like exchanges are.

It’s a mixed bag kinda safe, kinda not. Depends on user habits. Exchanges see a chance to offer convenience, but we gotta prioritize security over convenience.

You nailed it. Many jumped into crypto via these Telegram mini apps, so exchanges see marketing potential. But I doubt they’d leave security to Telegram alone since they have a lot at stake.
