Just curious, did you guys ever think about how exchanges now offer these automatic savings plans? I mean, if you're into investing for the long haul, using those features could make saving easier and help grow your portfolio.

Yeah, automated plans aren’t bad at all. It's kinda similar to DCA since you're still buying at specific prices, but without manual effort. Think of it as setting a limit order that triggers automatically.

But wait... you're handing over custody of your funds to the exchange, right? That’s risky. I’d steer clear of that.

Right? I get the whole bot thing, but I prefer doing it myself. Feels more legit that way.

Sounds like you’re onto SIPs (Systematic Investment Plans). They’re cool but I don’t think many exchanges offer that yet. Having a set amount to invest regularly helps build wealth over time.

I’m not cool with centralizing my funds like that. I trust DCA and it has worked for many. It’s about knowing how to manage your funds.

Totally agree. It’s like that saying, "Not your keys, not your coins". If you don’t have control over your funds, the risk just goes up.

Every time I see "auto" in a feature, I cringe. I like manual DCA better. Less headache when something goes wrong.

You’re spot on. These exchanges push for customers to keep money with them, and we know hacks can happen anytime. Better to be safe than sorry.

#10 Apr 23, 2024, 11:43 PM If anything ever goes wrong with your funds, the exchange has to take responsibility. But still, I feel safer just buying, not storing there.

#12 Apr 26, 2024, 04:51 AM I’ve got a DCA bot that’s been buying Bitcoin for a while. It’s nice, but I’m hesitant to keep too much in the exchange.

#13 Apr 26, 2024, 09:31 AM My auto-buying experience was a disaster. I’m not doing that again. Manual buys work just as well.

#14 Apr 26, 2024, 12:15 PM I think the auto feature makes sense. It helps keep track of savings and you can hit your goals faster. I even prefer it sometimes over DCA!

#15 Apr 26, 2024, 02:43 PM For those who forget to DCA, auto-saving can be great. But we all know exchanges aren’t the safest place for our assets.

#16 Apr 26, 2024, 05:06 PM Manual DCA is simple enough though. Just click a few times and you’re done.

#17 Apr 26, 2024, 11:03 PM If there’s a solid incentive for storing Bitcoin with an exchange, I might consider it, but it better be worth it.

#18 Apr 27, 2024, 01:12 AM Why not look into a cold wallet for DCA and maybe test those auto features with a little amount? Balance the risk.

#19 Apr 27, 2024, 07:16 AM Not sure I trust exchanges much. I’d rather stick with manual methods and keep my coins secure.

#20 Apr 27, 2024, 12:39 PM If you’re serious about DCA, staying on top of the market price is a must. You can still use some savings plans, but be careful!
