Thoughts on These Lesser-Known Exchanges

In recent years, a ton of new exchanges popped up. Just look at those screenshots above. Some have even hit 50k or 100k downloads on Google Play. It's wild nobody’s really talking about them here or elsewhere. Anyone actually tried any of these exchanges? What's your take on how they perform?

Where's this list from? I know a few, but I’ve seen some of these exchanges are shady, like Phemex. Didn’t they have issues with security not too long ago? Why waste time on these when we got giants like Binance and OKX?

Yeah man, using unknown exchanges is a bad move. Why risk your cash when there are reliable ones around? Keep your funds safe.

I got the list off CoinMarketCap. I didn’t add Binance or others because everyone knows those. Figured it’d be more interesting to discuss lesser-known options.

Koinbay seems sketchy. They claim $11 billion trading volume?! Sounds like wash trading to me. Their Trustpilot rating looks fake too. Better to steer clear of such places. If they get hacked, good luck getting your money back.

No, I don't have an account with any of them. Most are pretty obscure. Even if some people say they’re okay, you never know. Accounts can get locked or funds frozen at any time.

Downloads don’t mean reliable usage tho. Some could just be bot spam to boost numbers. I see only a couple I recognize, so I’d stick to big names like Binance and Coinbase.

I’ve used exchanges like Bitmart, Crypto.com, and a few others. No problems withdrawing or anything. BitMart is good for selling bounty tokens, but it's kinda quiet.

Been in crypto for years and only used a handful of exchanges. The provided list is long but if you’re unsure about an exchange, don’t trade there. Check volumes and liquidity on CoinMarketCap to get a sense.

Do you really trust online reviews though? They can be faked. People get paid to leave good reviews... you won't know a bad app until you try using it.

Yeah, I feel you. New exchanges can be risky, especially if you don't know their track record. Binance is popular for a reason it's safe and reliable.

So many good exchanges are missing from this list! Like Bybit, KuCoin, etc. Those are tried and tested. They’ve had problems but handled them decently.

This list has at least two I recognize, but a lot of them seem really weak. With money involved, I’d stick to popular exchanges peace of mind matters.

The OP intentionally left out the big names to explore lesser-known options. But honestly, who wants to risk their funds on untested platforms? Sure, popular exchanges can have issues too, but they’re less likely to vanish with your money.

Pionex is my go-to for bot trading. It’s got a learning curve, but it’s cheaper than Binance for bot fees. Coinex is decent but had a bad experience with CET.

Totally echoing what you said. Scam exchanges are everywhere. I’m careful about picking exchanges nowadays.

I used BitMart a few times to move tokens not everywhere else. Went smoothly but it felt kinda slow. One-time addresses messed me up when I tried to withdraw.

Avoid those low-liquidity exchanges unless you're desperate. Stick with bigger ones. Higher liquidity usually means better security and options.

I’m familiar with Crypto.com, CEX.io, and Pionex. I’m good not juggling too many. I just use Binance, BitGet, and KuCoin for my trades.
