Just curious about this setup. Would you guys pick four BitAxe miners at 1.2Th each or one NerdQAxe++ with 4.8Th? Also, is there any real benefit to running a 1Th miner on its own versus combining power for solo mining?

Honestly, there’s not much difference with the mining odds. If you go for 4 BitAxe or 1 NerdQAxe++, it's pretty much the same. But if the NerdQAxe fails, you’re done, while with BitAxe, you still have some backup.

Totally agree with you, @FP91G. Also, check the total cost including taxes, shipping, and all that jazz before deciding between 1 BitAxe or 4 NerdQAxe.

Mining is like a lottery, right? You throw your dice and hope for that win. One miner could hit the jackpot on the first roll while another might take ages to get lucky.

They kind of balance out if they’re all functioning well. But if the Nerd crashes, your hash rate goes to zero. If a BitAxe dies, you still got three working. I’ve got a BitAxe and it tends to go down a lot. Honestly, not worth solo mining, better to just use them for Viabtc and earn a bit daily.

For what you earn, I’d stick with the NerdQAxe++. Sure, if it crashes, you stop mining, but managing one device is easier than four. If they made decent cash, then yeah, managing more would be worth it.

My single BitAxe hardly runs a full day without issues. I still suggest pointing it to Viabtc. At around 20 cents a day, that adds up over time. Set the payout low and you could end up with a decent amount in a couple of years.

NerdQAxe++ is simpler to handle, and since none of them are making significant money anyway, why manage four?

Four sounds cool, but NerdQAxe++ has that snazzy display. The BitAxe Gamma showing live Bitcoin prices is pretty awesome too.

From a hash power standpoint, both setups give 4.8Th/s, so your chances stay the same. If you like tinkering, go for the BitAxe. If you want something straightforward, grab the NerdQAxe++. In the end, it’s mostly about luck and how often they're running.

I’d lean towards four BitAxe units if the price difference isn't too steep compared to one NerdQAxe. If it's way more expensive, maybe a cheaper option is better.
