Hey, anyone else finding that the Electrum 4.5.5 docs don't quite match up? I checked some Reddit posts and the official documentation, but I'm lost on creating unsigned transactions.
Sending Funds from Electrum Watch-Only Wallet

You’re not alone. The old guides should still work fine with the latest Electrum, though. But where did you hear about that.txn file? The Electrum docs say to use.psbt for unsigned transactions.

Exactly,.psbt is the way to go. Just save that file, then sign it on another device. After that, you can copy the signed transaction into Notepad and broadcast it.
Cool, that cleared things up! Now I’m thinking of spending some BTC on LN. Heard it’s fee-free sometimes? Just gotta find a place to use it.
For sure, but be careful with your cold wallet. A $5 wrench attack is real, so creating a new watch-only wallet could be a smart move. Just use your offline MPK.
Yeah, that’s tough. I wish there was a way to show a fake balance on a watch-only wallet like some hardware wallets do.
Lol, good luck with that. You can create different wallets, but if someone wants to see your balance, they could figure it out easily.

Correct, attackers might just get you to show your wallet list. And remember, fees can pop up when opening LN channels.
So, $5 wrench attacks need your seed phrase to be really effective, huh? Maybe I should set up a decoy wallet.

Yes! Just keep the seed safe. A locked box is smart. Better to fool them with a decoy wallet and avoid a real loss.
