Accidentally Sent Funds to a Watch-Only Wallet

Hey everyone, I messed up and sent crypto to a watch-only wallet. Now I can't get my funds back to my original wallet on NiceHash. Anyone here who can help? Thanks a lot!

Sounds like you’re using a watch-only wallet. Those don’t have private keys, so you can't sign any transactions. How did you create that wallet? Do you have access to the wallet with the private keys? Any recovery words?

Just like Cricktor said, you sent your coins to a watch-only wallet. Do you own that wallet? Without the keys, you can't move the funds. Look for those keys and import them to access your coins.

Exactly! When you create a watch-only wallet in Electrum, it warns you. You need those private keys safe somewhere else, or you’re not in control of the coins in there. Remember, coins are on the blockchain; wallets just manage the keys to move them.
