So I've got a setup running an OS for 8 S9J hash boards. But after a bit, the last two start throwing tons of hardware errors and my hash rate drops to zero. Any ideas on why this might be happening? Could it be the mining pool not accepting my setup? Or is there something else messing with the performance?
What kind of errors are you seeing? Can you share the logs? Use the code tag when you post them here. It helps a lot.
Also, I doubt it’s the mining pool messing with you since the other six are fine. Maybe it’s overheating?
First off, what controller are you using? Is it a BeagleBone, Pi-3, Pi-4, or a Xilinx SoC?
Sounds like you might be hitting a communication bandwidth issue or potentially a memory leak.
I’m not quite following you there. Can you break it down a bit? Also, talking to admins or support could help. They might have better insights on this.
Unfortunately, this project is brand new. Only an Iranian company has used it before, and I can’t get in touch with them for support. This OS is designed for 8 hash boards.
What are the temps looking like? Overheating could definitely be causing your hash rate to drop.
You got any logs to share? Without that info, it’s tough to pinpoint the issue.
You have access to these miners, right? If not, how did you run the software? I don’t think you’d need anyone's permission to grab the logs unless there’s some sort of lock on them.
