Pywallet Revamp: What's New?

So, apparently, Pywallet isn't getting updated anymore unless it's critical stuff. The dev is moving on to something new without even a name yet. Couldn't stay away from Bitcoin for too long, huh?

+1 to that, man! Web interface sounds lit. It’s like we’re finally getting a proper lightweight BTC client.

Would be dope if it auto-filled the wallet location. Also, when I try to access my wallet, it crashes Bitcoin. Any tips to avoid that?

Just added a warning for that crash issue. Thx for catching it! I’ll also try to implement that auto-fill thing.

Still not working for me. Getting errors. Do I need a new Python? Where to even get it?

Looks like you’re missing the bsddb package for Python. Definitely needs to be installed.

Aren't you on a Mac? Yeah, bsddb is busted on Apple's default Python. Gotta get another version through Macports.

Think it’s only compatible with Python 2. Might wanna check that out.

It's actually working for me! Imported my private keys on Windows, no issues.

Awesome new feature: can now delete wallet addresses and transactions! No more 0/unconfirmed transaction chaos.

If you want non-techies to use this, definitely need a guide for Mac users. Like, bsddb is a real pain on Snow Leopard.

Now it even lets you import transactions! Way easier for offline stuff no command lines required.

Hey, jackjack, quick question. If I import the same key into two wallets, what happens? Just curious.

You’ll see the balance in both wallets, but only the first one to use it can spend the coins. Just how it works.

Could use help testing new features. Anyone interested?
