So Musk just dropped some news about this new communication tool on X. Stuff like encrypted messages, audio/video calls, and a ton more. And he mentioned "X Money" is coming soon. If they really let users pay with Dogecoin, wow, that’d be a big deal. But maybe I’m overthinking it? Could be a smart move to grab some DOGE now, right? Just curious if you all think it makes sense.

Totally possible. Musk’s been all about Doge, but I heard Litecoin might also make the cut. We’ll find out soon enough. Gonna check it out on day one for sure. Plus, they’re working with VISA, so maybe a crypto debit card is in the works?

Musk's definitely cooking something. He’s been a huge Doge fan, and if he announces that it’ll be accepted, prepare for some wild hype. Any idea when this might drop? Got a source for that info?

Are you sure he’s still shilling Doge? I mean, it’s been dropping like other coins lately. I’d hold off on buying Doge right now. Just wait and see where the market goes. Maybe put some into Bitcoin instead.

Sounds like a classic bait and switch. People might rush in thinking it’s a sure thing.

Elon’s great at promoting Doge, so it makes sense he’d use it in X Wallet. But I doubt Bitcoin will be part of it. He was all for it before but then flipped the script. Honestly, if he tries to hype Doge now, it might be too late since we're in a bear market.

This is gonna be a wild race. If he’s adding features to X, it’s not a bad idea at all. Look at Telegram and others with their wallets. X should definitely do something bigger.

Everyone wants their own wallet to tie into their ecosystem. It keeps users engaged with their platform.

I’m thinking there’s a 50/50 chance Elon still backs Dogecoin. He might have moved on to other coins since his big Doge push is done. Not sure if Doge will even be a payment option with X.

Yeah, it makes sense but also doesn’t. Doge started as a meme coin and lost some community support before Musk swooped in. Why did he choose Doge? No central control, I guess.

Whether Doge is included or not, he needs to make it user-friendly. Is the wallet already out? Development takes time, but Elon loves Doge. I wonder if he’s just playing around with it.

Great to hear! But isn't David Chaum’s xx network project trying to do something similar? It struggled to get traction. Why would Elon's project be different? I don’t think he’ll integrate Doge. He didn’t when he bought Twitter. Just seems like a bluff to attract investors.

It’s just another wallet. People can already tip on X by sharing their crypto addresses in bios. My main worry is whether it’ll be custodial or not. If it is, just stick to your regular wallet.

I don’t get the hype. I want my social media clean, not mixed with wallets. Too early to judge X Wallet. Maybe it’ll make Doge holders happy, but keep expectations low.

Elon’s a billionaire, so yeah, his moves shake up the market. But if you’re not interested, no pressure to join the hype. A wallet in social media sounds cool, though. Why not have it all in one place?

Exactly! I learned about "separation of concerns" in college. A wallet in your social feed could be messy. Not sure how they’ll integrate it all. I’m not gonna bash others’ investments since I have my own.

I think he’ll pull it off. He’s unpredictable, and if X Money launches with a bang, who knows? Maybe he’ll expand it into something bigger.

The current wallet isn’t a true crypto wallet. It just lets you put a crypto address. I think the X wallet will be custodial since it's linked to a centralized company. True crypto users usually prefer non-custodial options.

Hasn’t he been talking about this "everything app" for ages? It could be a payment tool. I wouldn’t be shocked if it includes crypto elements, but who knows? He might just want to create a new PayPal.

This doesn’t even add up. Just because Musk hints at X payments doesn’t mean it’s tied to Dogecoin. X could launch its own stablecoin instead, like PayPal is doing with PYUSD.
