Here’s a little breakdown of some GPUs and their performance on VanitySearch:
GeForce RTX 2080 Ti: ~2564 Mkeys/s
GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER: ~2001 Mkeys/s
And a bunch more. Pretty wild how varied it is!
Posting scanned ranges is tricky. Can't confirm if that info is reliable or not. There’s a group working together on finding keys, making sure to exclude ranges that have been checked already.
I feel like posting ranges isn’t the best move. Maybe a separate thread for that? Plus, it’s way more useful to share ECDSA research or new scripts that speed things up.
Hey new folks! Just a heads up, sharing scanned ranges could lead to some trolling. But honestly, the sheer size of the search space makes it kinda pointless anyway.
This puzzle’s origin is interesting too. No rewards for figuring it out, just knowledge. I’m thinking of setting up a Raspberry Pi with a random Python script to find collisions. Might be harder than expected, but hey, worth a shot!
I’ve got a search algorithm that’s way faster than the one linked in that other post. In the right hands, it could solve 110 tasks in a month on a decent cloud server. Costs will eat into profits, but still better than just mining. This one’s FPGA compatible too.
