Mining Difficulty vs. Puzzle Challenges

So Puzzle 66 has been unsolved for over 2 years. But mining a block is way easier. Why aren’t people using their hash power for these puzzles? Like, check this out: the hash for a mined block is way longer than that of Puzzle 66. It's like 27 times easier! Can anyone break down this difficulty thing between mining and puzzles? Brute forcing a private key from an address is a different ball game. ASICs are made for mining Bitcoin using SHA-256, but with brute-forcing, you’re dealing with ECDSA to convert keys. It’s not really feasible. You’re just not gonna get anywhere trying to apply mining power to that. Plus, the math behind it is way more complex than just hashing. But yeah, I get the curiosity here. Just don’t mix the two concepts, they’re fundamentally different.
