I keep thinking a 10% increase in Difficulty means your mining output drops by the same 10%. Seems simple, right? But I realize it’s not that straightforward for big changes. Like, if Difficulty doubles, you wouldn’t lose all your output. You’d actually lose around 50%. So how do we nail down how productivity really drops with an increase in Difficulty? I’m not the best with math, but I can get a formula if someone lays it out for me.

Here’s a thought experiment: imagine you’re making $100 a day and it costs you $50 to earn that. If your earnings drop by 10%, your profit doesn't just fall by 10% it drops by 20%. It's all about those costs involved. So yeah, the cost of earning plays a huge role, not just the revenue side of things.
