Hey everyone, I noticed that solochance.com isn't up anymore. Any suggestions for other sites or tools that show the odds for solo mining based on your hashpower?

You could check viabtc.com for rough estimates. They pay around 0.00000432 btc per terahash. With a 97% payout rate, it breaks down to about 0.000004453 btc. So that means the odds of hitting the next block with 1 th is like 1 in 1,405,793.

If you’re up for it, you can set up your own calculation on any Linux system. Just make a script called get_prob.sh and run it with your hash rate in GH/s. Works pretty well for figuring things out.

I looked around for a backup to solochance but couldn’t find an exact match. This link might help though it's a calculator that does something similar. Translate it to English and check "Block time in solo mode" for probabilities.

Or you can hit up my discord. I’ve got a calculator pinned there that gives solo mining odds based on any hash rate you throw in.

I relied on it often too. If you need, I can host it for you on my VPS.

Appreciate it! It’s back up for now but if anything happens, I’ll definitely reach out. Feel free to drop any other thoughts here.

not sure how reliable those calculators really are tho... solo mining is so random, odds can change a lot depending on network hash and luck. i’d take any tool with a grain of salt.

not just luck, network difficulty shifts constantly too...so calculators are more like rough guides than exact science imo
