Hey guys, I’m new to this and just started mining on the Bitcoin testnet using my Antminer S9 with Braiins OS. It’s mostly for testing stuff, you know? I’ve set up solo mining with my own Bitcoin Core node and Farm Proxy, but I’m looking for public testnet mining pools to join or any info on how they work. Anyone know of any? I saw some names like "Test Pool" and "Solo CK" on mempool.space but can’t find connection details or any guides. Help a newbie out!

Not sure if there are many testnet pools right now, to be honest. But since you’ve got a full node running, why not make your own testnet mining pool? You can grab some software from GitHub. Just keep an eye on how much hashrate you’re throwing at it. Don’t wanna crank up the difficulty too much for everyone else trying to mine!

Yeah, it's already pretty ASIC-heavy. Mempool.space shows the hashrate is around 350.2 TH/s. With your setup, you could still mine with 15 TH/s, but good luck competing! I noticed pools like "MARA pool" and "DrDetroid" listed, but connecting to them might be tricky. Most of the mining is happening solo anyway... so yeah, weird times.
