Happy new year everyone! New year, new vibes, right? With the Bitcoin price soaring, seems like the world’s starting to adopt it big time. I even heard talks about the US eyeing a Bitcoin reserve economy. Is there a spot here where we chat about Bitcoin regulations? I have a feeling there’ll be a bunch of changes coming from different countries, some good, some kinda scary. We gotta keep an eye on how things unfold.

Not sure this is the right thread, mate. Sounds more like a question for the noob section since it’s not really forum-specific. You might wanna check out the Bitcoin discussion board or maybe the speculation area if you’re looking for insights.

You could look up the unofficial list of forum rules and FAQs here. There’s info about boards and what they focus on. Trust me, after checking those out, you’ll know where to get into the regulation topic.

I went through those rules too, and honestly, they didn’t help much with board info. But hey, thanks for pointing out that legal section! Totally fits what I was asking about since I wouldn’t have found it otherwise.

This thread was born when I was trying to figure out where to talk about regulations worldwide, and I found out there’s a legal board. Pretty sure some mod moved my post there. I just want this to be a place where we can all share updates on new regulations as they come up.

There’s a lot of info on regulations impacting Bitcoin globally, especially in the EU. It’s tough to keep your Bitcoin private these days, and spending it is a challenge even if you do get privacy. KYC and AML laws in the EU are a mess for everyone involved in DeFi. It’s a rough time for crypto privacy... Here’s the link if anyone wants to dive in and discuss more.
