Hey guys. I'm stuck with my Blockchain.com wallet. Been using it since 2016, but lost access at some point. I imported my recovery phrase and got a new identifier. Now, my main BTC address is the imported one. Tried to send my coins elsewhere, but the transaction failed. I want to recover my BTC address using the private key, but I can't find it. I tried to get the key from my recovery phrase, but no luck.
If your funds were in the imported address, they're probably not tied to the 12-word phrase. Recovery using that won't help. You should be able to get private keys from the imported address section. If you can't find them, you're probably out of options here. But hey, how did you know the transaction didn’t go through? Did you see an error? And what’s the imported address?
Sounds like your 2016 wallet may not be HD. When restoring with the recovery phrase, non-HD keys end up in the imported section of settings. But you've got a BIP39-compatible phrase for the newer HD wallet. Did you get any warnings like "BIP39 checksum failed" when restoring in Electrum? If so, it’s not a valid BIP39 seed.
This is the imported address I have: 1G9b3oY6zcruiuqerzAQhJhPyiKbzVBZP1. I contacted support for the withdrawal. When I tried to send BTC, I saw an error in red text, but I can't remember the exact message.
So it looks like the funds haven’t moved at all. Last transaction was in 2021, right? Just to clarify, do you no longer see that imported address when you log in? You can't export the private keys for it at all?
Those messages you see under the seed phrase when restoring are important. If you get any warnings, it means it's not a BIP39 seed. And as for BTC Recovery, those tools usually just help with partial recoveries. If someone says they can recover your lost coins easily, it’s probably a scam.
I think there's a language issue here. Without clear info, no one can pinpoint what's wrong. Maybe consider starting a new thread in your language for better support.
