Just installed the Phoenix wallet on my phone, updated it, and now when I open it, it’s just a white screen. Anyone else had this happen?

Never seen that issue before. I use Phoenix for small transactions and it’s been fine since the update. Maybe the update didn’t finish? Check your storage and RAM, clear some space. If it still doesn’t work, try uninstalling and reinstalling.

You checked your internet connection? Sometimes the wallet needs to sync. Just opened mine and it works fine, balance is all there. Make sure your app is updated too.
Could be a few reasons for that. Maybe some bugs in the app. You could try uninstalling or clearing the app’s cache and data. Also, check if your phone specs meet the app’s requirements.
I don’t know, it started acting weird after I sent some sats to a friend. Everything else seems normal on my phone and my connection is good. I hope I wrote down my seed somewhere.

Right, but OP has used the app before and now it's acting up. I’ve had wallets crash because I didn’t let them connect to the internet for a while. OP, did you lock the app after the update?
Honestly, your best bet is to uninstall and reinstall. Just make sure to back everything up first. Oh, and you heard about them cutting off US customers, right? If you’re in the US, better empty your wallet soon.

Hoping I did back it up. Phoenix doesn’t force you to write down your seed at the start, though you should’ve done that ages ago. Make sure you have it saved before reinstalling, or you could lose your funds.
Thanks for the tips. Gonna search for my seed before I reinstall. This is so weird.
That news about cutting off US users was dated May 3rd, 2024. We’re in 2025 now.
And remember, you can still get the wallet from their site. Some folks use Tor or a VPN to access it from anywhere.
Older OS can cause issues too. Some apps stop supporting outdated versions, leading to crashes. Just be careful about uninstalling before you find your seed.
Didn’t notice the date, thanks for pointing that out.
The chances are slim but still possible. Most people have moved on from old OS. Newer ones tend to be better optimized. Older devices might crash more often, though.
Finding that seed phrase would be a lifesaver since you can use it on other wallets too. There might be a bug, but reaching out to support could help. Just get your seed phrase first.
Not sure about iOS, but on Android, updates happen automatically even if the device isn’t fully supported. Sometimes it just shows an error or a blank screen. Turning off auto updates is a good idea for older devices.
I didn’t put much into that wallet. Restarted my phone and the wallet opened again. What should I do now?
Glad you got it working again. Make sure to back up that seed phrase. Your phone’s a bit older, so getting a upgrade might help. There are budget options with better specs out there.
Got any suggestions for budget phones to get instead?
Check out phone reviews on YouTube or sites like GSMArena for specs.
