Using Trezor Model T and Trezor Suite. Just verified with Sparrow Wallet in watch-only mode. No OS issues here.
I sent BTC from Newton to a self-custody address generated by my Trezor. It shows confirmed on-chain but can't access the wallet derived from that address.
Sounds like a bad address. Trezor Suite won’t let you open more accounts if one’s empty. If you already checked other account indexes on Sparrow, you probably have the wrong passphrase. Might need recovery software to brute force it.
You’re spot on. Just a transcription error on my part.
The correct address is:
bc1qgn5raset2n9m0npn50xnyadmlvdgctgdtum3mv
It’s a native SegWit address. Balance can be checked on mempool.space or explorers.
If you’re using Sparrow, try selecting p2wpkh for script type. Then change the derivation path when connecting to Trezor.
You might have mismatched script types.
So you’re stuck with an empty address and no way to recreate it? That makes this whole thread pointless. Just a tip for next time, always verify your backup before sending funds.
I think they meant this address: bc1qqn5raset2n9m0npn50xnyadmlvdgctgdtum3mv which has 0.7 BTC. I get why they’re asking, but they should’ve given the right info.
To clarify, that address does exist and has about 0.7175 BTC. Verified here: https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/address/bc1qgn5raset2n9m0npn50xnyadmlvdgctgdtum3mv
Some explorers are incorrectly rejecting it, causing the confusion.
You’ve posted the wrong address in multiple posts. FinneysTrueVision shared one that’s funded. If you checked your own link, you’d see it’s wrong.
You might want to play around with different passphrases.
Are you serious? Even blockchair.com says that’s invalid. Mempool isn’t wrong. What’s up with your links?
The address is invalid due to a checksum error. How about trying bc1qqn5raset2n9m0npn50xnyadmlvdgctgdtum3mv instead?
You guys might be wasting time with a chatbot. Posting a broken Bech32 address and responding with thanks doesn’t look good.
Seems like AI is at play here.
