Issues with BTC Transfer Between Wallets

I just tried to move some BTC about an hour ago. I thought I was sending.0093776 BTC, but turns out I entered.00938 mBTC instead. Didn't even realize I needed to convert that before sending. Ended up sending.0093776 BTC to my Electrum wallet but only got 9.40144 mBTC back... What happened?

Okay so 0.0093776 BTC is really 9.3776 mBTC. If you asked for 0.00940144 BTC when you withdrew, then you got what you were expecting. Just a heads up, Electrum doesn’t have real support. No one can reverse a transaction. Watch out for scammers who might message you.

Just to clarify, mBTC isn’t an altcoin. It’s a smaller denomination of Bitcoin. So if you sent 0.0093776 BTC, you should get pretty much the same back. The mBTC you see isn’t related to any altcoin like MBTC.

The letter case matters, dude. Lowercase m for milliBitcoin and uppercase M for megaBitcoin. You can't mix those up. Just so you know, 9.3 mBTC is way less than what you seem to think.

It definitely looks like an online wallet or an exchange situation unless you really had 22 BTC. Normally, non-custodial wallets manage change addresses automatically, or send the change back. Maybe fees ate up your funds, or a bug happened with the wallet.

I think OP just googled some conversion wrong and messed it all up. If he was expecting 15 mBTC, that makes no sense. There’s something off about his entire story.
