Hype or legit value? Should I hold ZEC for the long haul? What will make this coin skyrocket? Got a lot of questions. I actually dig the project but not sure about investing... gonna keep this thread updated.

Nah, it’s not just hype. ZEC has been around and is a solid alternative to Monero. It's one of the more recognized privacy coins out there. Really depends on your research though. What's your take on it?

Check its price chart from the start. That’ll help you decide if it's worth it. It really comes down to how long you’re willing to wait. No one here is a financial advisor though... I’m personally leaning towards Monero.

Altcoins are tricky. You never know when one might disappoint. The bull run could start, but that coin you thought would boom might barely move. I don’t usually suggest buying altcoins. If you’re up for a gamble, go ahead, just don’t get your hopes too high.

If you’re into privacy, definitely consider privacy coins. But keep in mind they face regulatory scrutiny since they’re harder to track. If you believe in ZEC, invest! If not, look elsewhere. Plenty of other privacy coins to choose from.

Hype is real! If you’re on the privacy train, hold ZEC. If regulations tighten, more people might flock to privacy coins, boosting ZEC’s price. Plus, if ZEC gets more DeFi integration, that could spark some attention and price movement. But no promises.

ZEC is a solid privacy coin. Liquidity is everywhere, tons of exchanges to swap it. They just introduced Zcash Shielded Assets, letting other tokens use its privacy features. Plus, they’re moving towards Proof-of-Stake. Those alone seem promising to me.

Bitcoin’s price swings affect all altcoins. ZEC is like Monero, and its future price is super uncertain. Anyone claiming to know is probably just guessing. Investing now feels risky, it’s a toss-up whether you’ll profit or lose. I’m sticking with Bitcoin.

Zcash has a privacy-focused infrastructure and a capped supply like Bitcoin, so it could be worth holding long-term. We shouldn’t judge based on today’s market, tons of developments are coming for ZEC.

We can’t just talk price for privacy coins like ZEC or Monero. They serve a different purpose, prioritizing anonymity. If regulations keep increasing, these coins might gain more attention, causing prices to rise.

Last time ZEC almost hit $1k, it was all hype. It dropped hard after that... I made some quick profits but then lost out when I didn’t sell. Now, who knows? If privacy coins trend again, maybe ZEC will rise, but I’m cautious.

No hype for projects with clear goals. ZEC's price drop is partly due to tough regulations. Like I said, we shouldn’t focus on pricing, invest if you believe in privacy’s future. It could be key as regulations tighten.

Thanks for all the responses! I’ve invested in ZEC and want to know what others think. Is there still a chance for another price spike?

That’s your takeaway from the chart? If history repeats, you think it’ll hit those levels again in about 4 years? It might dip below $20 before then. If the pattern holds, buying now could be a regret.

All hype, man. Influencers were all over it before. Now with the market down, ZEC is tanking. It dropped from $674 to around $233. If you thought privacy coins would stay hot, think again. Governments despise them.

ZEC's down about 70% from its all-time high. That hype has faded. The risk is real though, governments might pressure exchanges to delist it, affecting trading volume and price. But ZEC seems to be okay for now.

I doubt ZEC will get delisted. I believe in its fundamentals and tech. The long-term potential outweighs these price drops. Let’s see what happens.

They don’t need to delist ZEC because shielded transactions are optional, like Dash. It’s not just a privacy coin for evading rules. FATF laws only need your assurance about wallet ownership. But things are shifting, so they might freeze private deposits.

I just shared ZEC's all-time price chart. It peaked at around $5,941, which means it’s down over 95% now. Not just 70%. I really doubt it’ll hit a new all-time high, maybe a new low.

ZEC has great functionality. It balances transparency for compliance and privacy. If privacy discussions keep happening, ZEC could be interesting again. Sure, the hype was wild, but there's potential if people stay interested.
