Will Tornado Cash Devs Be Pardoned Next?

So Trump’s been pardoning crypto people since his comeback in 2025. First it was Ulbricht, now CZ. I heard SBF is looking for a pardon too, but he’s got a slim shot due to his past with the Dems. What’s next? Maybe the Tornado Cash devs will get lucky too, right?

I don't think there's much chance for that tbh. Trump’s got his political image to think about, and the public is still pretty anti-money laundering. His pardons are likely calculated moves to keep his future successor in good standing.

Yeah, it’s a long shot. Privacy is a big no-no for the government, and I doubt Trump would back anyone into privacy-related stuff. Maybe he could shorten their sentences but full pardons seem unlikely.

He really should have done that sooner if he was serious about free speech. But hey, it’s all about his own interests at this point. He’s a businessman, after all. Can’t predict what he’s gonna do next.

It’s clear that money talks. Look at how Trump’s been benefiting since his pardons. Major investments come from crypto companies. It’s all about who’s got the cash to play the game.

CZ got pardoned mainly ‘cause he’s a huge name and Binance can pump money into the US economy. Tornado Cash is a different beast, and Congress likely won’t back any pardons for those devs. No direct value for the government means slim chances.

We can’t really know until it happens. It all depends on political support. If Trump wanted to do it, it should’ve been done by now. Plus, SBF is a whole different story, given his criminal activities.

Alex Pertsev’s out and appealing; maybe he’ll get a pardon if he plays nice with Trump. But if he doesn’t, back to jail he goes.

I read somewhere that sanctions were lifted on Tornado Cash devs. That’s a good sign, right? After Ross and CZ, why not Tornado Cash? It could be a big shift in how the US views privacy tools.

Tornado Cash has some shady history though. I doubt those devs will get pardoned. CZ was controversial, but Tornado Cash would stir up way more drama.
