Hey guys, quick question. Is using a mining pool a must? How do I get my ASICs to mine without pointing them to a pool? Can I just mine solo and hope to find a bitcoin?

You can definitely mine solo, but good luck with that. You’d need a BitcoinCore node or something like ckpool or kano for better chances. Just know that if you’re not rolling in hashing power, your odds are pretty slim. Hope you solve a block!

Not mandatory at all. To get a reward, you gotta solve a block. But with the difficulty ramping up, it’s tough out there. If you go solo, you keep all the rewards, but good luck competing with others without serious hashing power. Joining a pool is probably the way to go.

Solo mining is kinda like playing the lottery, honestly. Your chances of hitting a block are super low, and you’ll just end up burning electricity most of the time.

And hey, there’s no real ‘race’ to find a block. If someone else finds one, it doesn’t mess with your own chances. Just gotta keep at it. But remember, every 2016 blocks, the difficulty adjusts, so your odds change too.
