Could we actually see a real bank that’s fully compliant with all the banking laws, but dedicated to crypto? Like, a place that offers the same services as regular banks but is all about Bitcoin and other cryptos?
Is a Regulated Bitcoin Bank on the Horizon?

I think calling it a "bitcoin bank" is kinda misleading. When I hear that, I think about a place where you can deposit Bitcoin and earn interest. That’s not what you’re really asking for, though.

Honestly, it feels like a fantasy. Traditional banks are doing fine and could add features you mentioned. A bank just for crypto would struggle to stay afloat and find a profitable niche.
Nah, you don't need a bank to use Bitcoin. Doing that kinda defeats the purpose. It’s like trying to run the latest Android on a dinosaur phone.
Exactly! The concept of a bitcoin bank goes against BTC’s deflationary nature. How can they offer interest on something that’s meant to be scarce? Offering loans in BTC seems super risky too.
Sure, some banks here are starting to deal with crypto, but a full-on crypto bank is probably far off. The government’s not fully on board with crypto yet.

Why would we want banks for crypto? We can control our funds directly. Are you looking for banks just to manage Bitcoin for you? That’s not what it’s about.

There’s this platform called Bitbond that seems like a model for what crypto banks could look like. They let people get loans super quickly with crypto.

It’s all just wishful thinking! Bitcoin was created to bypass banks. If a bitcoin bank exists, I doubt many people would trust it.
Loans with crypto? That’s a disaster waiting to happen. If a few things go wrong, the bank’s toast. People want a bridge between crypto and fiat, not another bank.
Right? You can't apply traditional banking rules to Bitcoin. There's no interest on Bitcoin savings, but you can get returns in other ways.

I think a crypto bank could happen, but not anytime soon. So many people are still skeptical about crypto.
People love the comfy feel of banks, so they keep pushing for some kind of integration with crypto. But if a bank did form, it would have to cater to crypto users specifically.
Would you even trust a bank saying they’re crypto-friendly? Plenty of failed attempts have left users burned.

I believe crypto banks will eventually emerge. I heard there's one in Sweden already. But whether they thrive depends on consumer demand.
It's not really necessary for Bitcoin to have banks to succeed. We've got plenty of existing options that don’t need physical banks.

The volatility of Bitcoin makes it tough for banks to get involved without a solid legal framework.

Whether it’s a crypto bank or a friendly one, I just don’t see the point. Bitcoin is against everything banks stand for.

In the future, banks will have to offer some crypto services. It’s gonna hinge on how governments regulate it.
That idea clashes with Bitcoin's core principle of decentralization.
