Heat Management and Airflow Solutions

Hey all, I’m trying to figure out how to properly manage the heat in my mining room. I’ve got a diagram that shows my setup. The hot aisle will sit in the center of a 11x13x9 room, with a 10 inch intake fan rated at 1200 CFM to pull the excess heat out. I did some calculations and apparently, I need around 257 CFM for negative pressure according to omnitecdesign, so I think my fan should do the trick. Got a couple of questions: 1) Can I reroute one HVAC duct to bring in cold air to this room?

Honestly, hot/cold aisle separation is tricky with GPU rigs unless you have fans on the racks to push the air where it needs to go. Plus, a barrier between the hot and cold zones is essential. About your fan situation, yeah, all fans will get less effective when there’s more static pressure. Those tent fans work well for that, but watch out for those Lasko box fans. They’re the worst in terms of static pressure; their CFM drops significantly with any airflow restriction. Just my two cents, but I think you’re better off with something built for higher static pressure.
