Came across this post from a guy named Michael Saylor talking about 110 reasons why BIP 110 is a bad move. If you got some time, it might be worth checking out.
Honestly, why do Bitcoin Knots users even care what Saylor thinks? If you’re not holding any BTC, why worry about the network's stability? Seems like those worries shift when you don’t have skin in the game.
Anyone got an X account? Can someone please quote Saylor's points? It’s hard to judge when you can't see what he argues. Usually, it’s like when flat Earthers make excuses, they twist things to disregard valid opinions.
Skip it, his post seems like AI-generated junk. BIP 110 is trash, but some of Saylor's points are just not valid arguments at all. Total waste of time reading that drivel!
Why should we trust some rich dude's opinions? Just celebrities looking to cash in. All I need is one solid reason why BIP-110’s bad: it doesn’t get majority support. Fundamental problem right there!
Couldn’t agree more. Saylor’s words often seem like just noise to grab attention. You gotta filter what’s useful and what’s not. Can’t follow everything blindly.
Thanks for the reminder to link the original post! But yeah, throwing all those vague reasons together feels pointless. He could’ve just given a few solid arguments instead.
After looking at some articles, support from miners is really lacking, barely hitting 5%. Is there a chance they’ll activate this thing? Everyone seems against it anyway.
Right? Activation or not, if most nodes don’t follow it, it’ll lead to nothing. In the end, it’s just a small fraction of nodes that will isolate themselves.
People can say what they want, but I prefer listening to folks with actual expertise. Saylor’s just an investor and a fan. Doesn’t make him a tech guru on Bitcoin.
Honestly, Luke-jr is blaming Bitcoin Core contributors for his own mistake. He lost a bunch of BTC because he left access credentials on an unpatched laptop. That’s on him.
Bitcoin was meant to be peer-to-peer money, not a data storage system for memecoins. And those high fees are a major issue, they’re scaring away new users. We need to address that.
