I’m struggling with eye strain when trading at home... cloudy days make it worse. I’ve got a BenQ eye care monitor and it’s not cutting it. Any tips to make it more like reading from a tablet?

Just ditch the computer and go tablet full-time. Way easier on the eyes. I’ve switched to my phone for trading since my computer makes my eyes feel like they’re on fire.
Try messing with your monitor settings first. But if that doesn't help, you might want a new screen. Check out this list of monitors for trading in 2024. And don’t forget to do eye exercises.
Tablets are great for charts since they're bigger than phones. You can analyze better and trade more effectively. If you adjust your PC's brightness, it might help, but tablets are still solid.
If you’re looking for a budget-friendly option, try the ASUS Eye Care monitor. I’ve heard Samsung monitors are decent too. Just a friendly suggestion, not trying to sell you anything.
Had the same issue switching from CRT to LCD. Check your color settings. If it’s on warm, switch to cool, but be aware cool emits more blue light which might not be good!

Tablets do have large screens, so they might be easier if you have eye problems. I use my phone for trading without any issues. Computers just make my eyes hurt too much.
You don’t have to spend a lot. Get blue light filtering glasses or adjust your screen settings. Both Windows and Ubuntu let you reduce blue light. Dark mode helps too.

Seriously, see an eye specialist. They might suggest glasses. A friend of mine did that and now he’s good without them too. Just don’t ignore the advice here.

Has OP even tried glasses? I wear special ones for eye strain and they’ve made a huge difference for me while trading. Helps with nighttime driving too.
Trading isn’t about having a huge screen. Use what’s comfy. Plenty of traders use phones for charts. Just zoom in or adjust font size on your PC.
If you’re willing to invest, getting a new monitor could really help. Look for one with good specs that won’t strain your eyes. You might want to check your vision too.
Don’t forget to check your desk for weight limits before buying a new monitor. If you get a dual setup, make sure it can hold everything.
Staring at a monitor all day is bad. It’ll dry your eyes out and mess with your sleep. Consider automating your trades to ease the strain.
Switching screens or using adaptive color settings could help. I tweak my PC and phone settings to make them similar, makes it easier on the eyes.

If your tablet feels comfy, it’s likely OLED or high-res. Look for an OLED monitor but test it out first can get pricey. Cheap monitors often use low-quality panels.
We don’t know OP’s trading habits. Most people don’t stare at screens constantly. Sounds like they’re just putting in long hours like me, but I manage fine.

You gotta take breaks. Staring at bright screens is unhealthy. Trade smart and don’t burn out your health matters more.
Sounds like dry eyes. Definitely see a doctor. I’ve heard e-ink monitors might help, but they’re not mainstream yet.
When I day trade, I use two monitors. Had the same issues before. Now I wear anti-radiation glasses and it helps a lot with eye strain.
