I’m curious about mining earnings. Can anyone tell me if they mine with a basic laptop? Mine has no external GPU and just an i3 CPU. If you’ve done it, how much do you earn and what token do you mine? Is it even smart to mine while doing other stuff on an i3 without overheating? I checked mining calculators, but they say I’d earn like a buck, which seems low. Looking for real experiences here.

Mining BTC on a laptop? Forget it. You won't make anything worth your time. Only ASICs are really profitable for Bitcoin mining, and you just set them up where you want. If you’re serious about BTC, that’s the route to take. Look at dedicated mining profitability tools for details on power costs and such.

Honestly, mining isn’t what it used to be. I used to mine ETH with GPUs, but I stopped a while ago. A laptop might overheat if you push it too hard, especially since mining uses the GPU to the max. If you really want to try, go for it. Just don’t expect big gains like before.

What calculator did you use? Are you mining Bitcoin or some altcoins? I doubt you’ll even hit a dollar with that setup, honestly. Most profit calculators are based on current hashrate and coin prices, and they’re usually pretty spot on if you use reputable tools. If you can’t get better gear, maybe just buy coins directly and try trading instead.
