Hey all, Rod here. I'm on the hunt for a decent wallet for USDT-TRC20. A browser wallet would be good, but it has to work with Tor Browser. I prefer something lightweight and easy to set up. Any recommendations?

Most multicoin wallets support USDT on Tron. Like OKX (extension), Exodus (desktop), Trustwallet, etc. I haven't tested them on Tor, but since it allows extensions, I think they should work? Have you tried any of those? If mobile wallets are okay, Unstoppable wallet lets you connect through Tor easily from Settings.

I think you need a desktop wallet that connects through Tor, kinda like Electrum? I don’t know specific ones, but Metamask could work if you use the browser extension. Cake and Unstoppable wallets are good options too. Cake has built-in Tor support.

I don’t really use mobile wallets. Just feels risky, you know? Tried Metamask on Tor but it didn’t function well. I installed Cake wallet, but I’m curious if other wallets let me renew my wallet address. Metamask was a mess on Tor; my balance wouldn’t load. Maybe it’s a connection issue.

What do you mean by renew? If you’re asking about restoring your wallet in other apps, yes, that's doable. But honestly, if security is a concern, consider getting a hardware wallet like Trezor. Trezor Suite works with Tor. Also, some extensions are only for Chrome, so they might not work on Tor.

You can use TronLink with Tor Browser since it’s Firefox-based. Just beware, Tor doesn’t recommend adding extensions. Or you can set up Firefox to use a SOCKS 5 proxy. There’s a guide on the TronLink site.

I mean like changing my wallet address every time I receive funds. Is that possible?

EVM, Solana, and Tron wallets are different from Bitcoin. They don’t automatically generate new addresses after receiving funds like Bitcoin does. You’ll likely need to create a new account manually.

You mentioned a lot of wallets, but Aqua Wallet is another cool option for Bitcoin and it also supports USDT across multiple chains.

Most wallets for Firefox mainly support EVM and Solana, not much for Tron. Trezor Suite has Tor support, but no Tron yet. Cake Wallet is your best bet. Tron doesn’t have change addresses like Bitcoin, so you'd have to create a new wallet if you want a new address. Could be costly with fees.

Got it, so I need to create a new account each time. Thanks! By the way, the site isn’t loading on Tor.

I’ve been using TronLink for a while. They have a gas-free wallet for USDT, which is nice. You don’t have to stake for sending; it’s just a flat fee of like a dollar. It should work on Tor, but I haven’t tried it there.

Is that safe? I mean, should I feel secure keeping my funds there? I’ll test it on Tor. Also, I followed a link for an extension, but it’s unavailable now.

TronLink is pretty well-known, but yeah, looks like that extension got pulled. Check their official site for updates.

I’m not on Chrome or Edge. I liked TronLink a lot, wish they had a Firefox plugin. Guess I’ll keep searching. Thanks for the heads-up!
