I bought some BTC back in 2015 and just found it again. Now I'm expecting a child and wanna cash out a bit to help out. But my coins are from old wallets, so I’m worried about verification issues when swapping. Is there a way to do this without KYC? I just wanna avoid explaining old coins to exchanges. Any tips from those who’ve been there?

You could try b1exch.io. No KYC, instant exchange!
Check out bitmixlist.org for more no-KYC exchanges. Helps a lot.

I’ve used Thorchain a few times and it worked well. But yeah, I heard they froze a route due to AML checks. If that worries you, maybe look elsewhere on the list.
Not sure why it even matters if the BTC is from old wallets. Just sell on decentralized platforms like bisq or Robosats. Plenty of options out there.
For more options, bitlist.co has a good list of exchanges. Just keep in mind not all of them are no-KYC.
You might wanna try perpmate.com to swap BTC. No KYC and it’s on-chain.
I’m with you on b1exch.io. They have actual no-KYC processes and their own liquidity, unlike some others relying on centralized exchanges.

You don’t need verification if your BTC is from old wallets and you’re just taking a small profit. Check out b1ack swap too, it’s decent. Just swap little by little.
Swapping BTC for USDT isn’t a secret anymore. With all these exchanges out there, just use a non-custodial wallet, then swap on THORSwap or ChangeNow. Hold USDT in a private wallet or send it to your bank.

I looked at b1exch.io and saw BTC to USDT is available. But how decentralized is it really? I’m curious about their liquidity pools too.

Fees for swapping BTC on no-KYC platforms usually run around 1 to 3 percent depending on how much you’re swapping. If it’s over $200, you pay 1%. Just send your BTC and wait a bit for the swap.
As long as your BTC is from an old wallet, you should be fine. Are you using a custodial exchange? Those can have issues. With a private key wallet you should be good.
There’s a competition going on right now for swaps. Could win some extra cash if you enter! I prefer P2P swaps though, usually lower fees.

It’s not fully decentralized, more centralized but they respect user privacy. Supposedly no logs, and they have their own liquidity. Just hope they keep it up.
