So I opened a long position when Bitcoin dipped to around $58040 and put in $250 on one exchange and $50 on another. I took a tiny profit last night and closed the $250 position. Big regret now since the $50 position grew more today as Bitcoin soared past $60000. Why do I always close positions too soon?

You're definitely not alone in this. I think this is a common issue among traders. It often separates the successful traders from the rest. It's all in the head, really. You might analyze well, but that psychological edge makes a huge difference.

I haven't used use in ages. Now I focus on spot trading, and I prefer to take small profits. I never leave short trades open overnight. Better to secure the profit and sleep well, right?

This dilemma has been around forever, and there's no ultimate answer. The market is unpredictable, and no one can nail it all the time. You just gotta stick to your trading plan and accept that there will be wins and losses.

Not sure what your strategy is, but good call taking those profits, even if they’re small. You’re right to be cautious if you’re swimming against the trend. Always better to be safe than sorry.

It's totally normal to feel this way. We all start off scared of losing. You didn’t sweat the $50, but that $250 felt heavy, huh? That plays into how we trade.

I bet 95% of traders do this. Closing too early is pretty standard. I’ve done it myself countless times, mainly because I can't predict the future. As long as I'm in profit, I feel okay.

Right? No trader ever gets rich without taking some risks. But there’s always that moment when you sell too soon and then watch it fly. Greed can definitely bite you.

I don’t mind locking in small profits either. Better than sitting and hoping for a big win, which might never come. The important thing is to avoid losses.

Some traders hold onto losing positions longer than they should. They end up liquidated, yet they quickly cash out on small profits. It's all about discipline, really.

Greed can ruin you. It’s about finding that balance and knowing when to exit the market without waiting for the perfect moment. Small gains can add up.

Most of us panic and close trades early when we see profits, yet we hold onto losing trades forever. A lot of it comes from psychological factors.

You're definitely right. Trading is about discipline. You can't just set a trade and forget. You need to stick to your plan, or else it can get messy.

Yeah, when you're not used to winning, closing out quickly feels safer. Once you become more confident, you might let trades run longer.

It's all about mindset, right? Profit is profit, no matter how small. Way better to take that win than to chase a bigger one and end up with nothing.

Having clear profit targets is key. You can’t just guess your way through it. Set your targets based on analysis, not just on a whim.

We've all been there. Securing any profit is better than risking it all. If you can get consistent small wins, you're on the right track.

True, you have to balance your expectations. There's no harm in taking a small win if it keeps you in the game.

I totally get what you mean about greed. It’s a slippery slope, and taking those small wins can feel like a safer bet.

Exactly, trading requires setting your mind right. If you focus on the losses instead of gains, it messes with your head.
