I heard Sparrow 2.0 works with Testnet4. But are there any other wallets that do? I’m trying to teach beginners, so I want to generate a key on one device and restore it on another.
Which on-chain wallets support Testnet4?

Electrum is your best bet.
Yeah true, Electrum does that. Wizz wallet too, but I haven’t used it much. Check this link for some Testnet4 resources: https://t4-wallet.anyone.eu.org/. You can generate keys on Sparrow and import them to any wallet. There's also UniSat, which should be good.
Unless you need something specific, I’d stick with Electrum (version 4.5.6 or newer). It’s lightweight and works on most OS. Just a heads up, it can’t generate BIP 39 words or individual keys when creating a wallet.
You can use tools like Iancoleman or BitAddress to generate the keys or BIP39 phrases. It’s pretty simple stuff... not worth the hassle with heavier wallets for education.
Thanks! I need to be able to import the same seed phrase across apps (like with Electrum). That’s the real magic for me no need for the original software. But since Electrum doesn’t support BIP39, it won’t work.
I use Ian Coleman too, but offline. I like to check if I can recreate addresses and private keys from a seed phrase. It’s been working every time so far.
Interesting! So Ian Coleman supports Testnet bitcoin but not Testnet4? Is there a way to save this and maybe add Testnet4 support without needing a ton of skills?
I doubt the address format has changed, so it should be fine.
Just to clarify, Electrum can import BIP39 words. But it doesn’t generate them when creating a new wallet.
Nunchuck looks good, and it supports Testnet4 too, although they just label it as Testnet.
Nice find! Kinda odd I had to check a GitHub issue rather than their website for that info.
Yeah they should just update the website and it’s all set.
