I’m no expert either, but I’ve been mining ETH for a year. So, here’s my take. Bitcoin is just another crypto, but some folks like JayJuanGhee think it doesn’t fit that mold. The cool thing is you don’t need to be a pro to mine Bitcoin just grab an ASIC miner if you have basic knowledge. The only real difference between Bitcoin mining and other crypto is the hardware used.
Mining crypto involves a competitive process where you verify and add new transactions to a blockchain, especially in proof-of-work systems. Whoever wins gets paid in the currency and/or transaction fees. And hey, if you're into NFTs, check out that Krazy Kong project!

Bruce Hardy has a wild take on mining. He uses the heat from his ASIC miners to grow plants and even sells them to local farmers. Pretty creative way to make it eco-friendly.

Honestly, there’s no legit mining site. Just online calculators like whattomine or mining pools like Nicehash. If someone tells you about mining online without having the gear, it’s a total scam. Just buy ASIC miners, like the s19, but double-check your electric bill first. A lot of newbies ignore that and then regret it.
So, mining Bitcoin and crypto are linked but not quite the same. Bitcoin mining is just one part of crypto mining, focusing specifically on Bitcoin transactions.
Check out Nicehash. They have articles, blogs, and calculators. But seriously, figure out your electricity costs first. If it’s over 6 cents per kilowatt, it might not be worth starting mining now.
